drbaz I bumped into Don Leady as he was exiting & I was entering the toilets at a restaurant in Dallas, which was hosting an all day concert. I was too self conscious to say" Hey Don I'm from Australia & have all your albums & I really dig what you do, man". So after relieving myself I returned to our table where accordionist Ponty Bone (R.I.P) regaled us with tales of his adventures with the Joe Ely Band. And we also drank a few bottles of tequila.

There were a bunch of songs left over from the Swamp Rock and Mumbo Jumbo sessions, and a lot of 'em were really too much fun to just sit around on cassettes passed between friends. Those were put together for Tore Up, fun swampabilly party album with the guitars cranked up Link Wray loud and a big fat space for the Texas legend Keith Ferguson's bass.
